I am an interdisciplinary marine scientist focused on marine socio-ecological systems. With a background in marine ecology and oceanography, my research bridges ecology, anthropology, economics and psychology to examine human-nature relationships, particularly in coastal ecosystems. I hold a BSc in Marine Sciences (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 2008), a MSc in Applied Ecology (Erasmus Mundus, 2012), and a PhD in Environmental Sciences (University of Bremen, 2017), specializing in socio-ecological systems of Indonesian coral reefs. I spent six years as a postdoctoral researcher at ICTA-UAB, leading projects on small-scale fisheries, subjective well-being, climate change impacts in Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, and nature-based solutions. Currently, I am an advanced researcher at the Climate Resilience Center, Eurecat.
