I am a guest researcher at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where I contribute to the NICHES project. This initiative explores the transformative potential of nature-based solutions (NbS) to address urban challenges such as stormwater management, flooding, and sewer overflows while enhancing social-ecological systems and ecosystem services. My work focuses on the intersection of NbS, and climate urban resilience strategies.
Currently, I am also pursuing a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. I hold a European Joint Master's Degree in Environmental Studies, Cities and Sustainability. My research includes the adoption of NbS in Europe and Latin America. I have also been involved in assesing adoption of innovations in the agricultural sector and renewable energy externilities analysis, through my previous participation in related projects. Previously, I served as Area Coordinator at the State Environmental and Natural Resources Secretariat in Mexico, where I contributed to environmental governance and resource management.
