Marina Requena-i-Mora is a passionate Valencian sociologist dedicated to unravelling the complex relationship between society and the environment. Using diverse qualitative and quantitative techniques, she explores varieties of environmentalism, addressing environmental justice, colonisation, and sustainability indicators. Beyond environmental studies, she delves into rural and agrarian subjects, examining issues such as the ‘double bind’ situation faced by Catalan dairy farmers and the agrarian question in the European Union. Her current involvement in the CONDJUST Project reflects a continued dedication to understanding and depicting the lived realities of rural communities and addressing biases in agroeconomic models guiding conservation priorities.
