With my PhD I study the political ecology of blockchain technology in nature conservation and restoration. Specifically, I am interested in how blockchain makes nature visible and valuable (i.e., how nature is translated into Natural Capital), as well in what it potentially obscures, and how these endeavours affect the places and peoples intended to benefit. I hold a masters degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability (ICTA-UAB, VSB fund scholarship holder) and a bachelors degree in Sociology (University of Amsterdam).
