PhD Researcher

I am interested in the interaction of agrarian change dynamics and conservation in agricultural landscapes. I hold an MSc in Political Economy of Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. I have previous research experience with the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) at the University of Bern, Switzerland, based at the country office in Lao PDR, and internships with the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture in Lao PDR and the World Agroforestry Centre in Vietnam.

My PhD research focuses on farmer behavior in managing agricultural landscapes. I am interested in how differential political and economic power and institutional arrangements impact the adoption of conservation agriculture practices on farms in economically developed and developing country contexts. My research focuses on Spain and Lao PDR.
