My research aims to advance our understanding on the compounded effects of socio-environmental drivers of rural vulnerability. I will explore the characteristics and distribution of vulnerability to climate and agrarian change in rural Spain, and I will analyse agroecological and food sovereignty grassroots initiatives as a potential response to increase resilience to these phenomena.
I received my undergraduate degree in International Studies at the University of Trento and my MSc in Agricultural Development at the University of Copenhagen. Throughout these studies I researched the organisational component of a Catalan social movement, gender aspects of livelihood strategies of indigenous people in Malaysia and the interactions between development projects and peasant movements in Colombia.
