ALUMNI

I am a social-environmental scientist interested in commons, community conserved areas, participatory and inclusive governance, natural protected areas and political ecology issues in the Mediterranean context. I am currently (2022) a postdoctoral fellow at the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC) and the coordinator of the International Center for the Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves (UNESCOMED Center).

I was a PhD Researcher of LASEG between 2017 and 2022. My PhD (funded through an FI grant of the government of Catalunya) looked at the interface between top-down and bottom-up governance models such as those of Moroccan ICCAs (agdals) and Biosphere Reserves. I hold an MSc in Ecological Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB), a postgraduate degree on Climate Change from the University of Salamanca and FLACSO España, and a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Almería (UAL).
