I am a PhD researcher at Wageningen University, focusing on the politics of transboundary conservation of migratory birds and bird hunting tourism. Before starting my PhD, I worked at the national environmental authority in Malta where I contributed to drafting national biodiversity policy and participated in various EU and international fora, including the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. Building on a foundation in natural sciences, I gradually transitioned towards environmental management and policy, ultimately embracing my place within political ecology.
