I am an interdisciplinary researcher working at the interface of pastoral livelihoods and wildlife conservation, with a geographic focus in the Indian Himalayas. I am working towards more participatory and inclusive forms of co-inquiry with local communities such that we can meaningfully co-design conservation interventions that are contextually appropriate. Most of my work has been in close collaboration with an Indian NGO called Nature Conservation Foundation. At CONDJUST, I will be particularly focusing on positive “outliers” of conservation prioritization, especially with examples from the “Global South”.
